I grew up in Media, PA and from a very young age I remember my dad was always working on, buying or selling antique cars and going to car shows. He is still tinkering today at the young age of 85. He is responsible for me catching the car bug.
I was always fascinated with anything motorized which started at age 6 with homemade go-carts, motorized bicycles and mini-bikes. In fifth grade, on occasion, I drove myself to school in a homemade go-cart. At age 12, I learned how to drive a car which was a 1925 Model T. As I approached driving age, I moved on to motorcycles and cars and at present count, I have owned 70+ cars and 22 motorcycles. I often proclaim myself as a "car-o-holic" with gasoline in my veins.
I attended Nether Providence High School and this is where I met Jerry Wisneski, Ed Stillman and his wife Karen, (owners/managers of Stillman Volvo) more on that later. I then attended Widener University (also with Jerry) and graduated with a dual degree in Management and Economics. Right out of college, I landed my first "real job" with Philadelphia Electric Company (now PECO Energy) as a business analyst and worked there 19 years. It was a great first job, especially since I met my wife Patti while commuting to work on the R5 Septa Train to Philadelphia. After a few years of marriage we were blessed with two happy and loving children, Lauren and Daniel.
In 1995 I left PECO at the time of their great downsizing and wanted to pursue a career in sales. My automotive sales experience started in 1996 with selling Chevrolet Commercial vehicles. It was at this time that I reconnected on several occasions with Jerry and Ed. They always said there would be a place for me at Stillman Volvo. After selling commercial trucks for 9 years I moved on to selling traffic equipment for 4 years.
In 2009, I reconnected with Jerry and the offer to join Stillman Volvo came again and this time I gratefully accepted the offer to join. Stillman Volvo is a very well run business and a wonderful place to work. I enjoy being back in the car business and meeting new people everyday. I am dedicated to treating all my clients the way I wish to be treated. Volvo has a great product line and has a very loyal following. I look forward to serving you.
