The Dangers & Expense of Road Hazards

More than an eyesore, road debris creates hazards for motorists every day in the United States and Canada. The damage to tires and wheels of all shapes and sizes is enormous, supporting an aftermarket industry that sells 225 million tires and wheels annually.

Tire & Wheel ShieldTM from MyTireExpert® is an affordable road hazard protection plan you can use to protect yourself from the unexpected and frustrating expense of a tire or wheel damaged by a road hazard.


The Tire & Wheel ShieldTM Platinum Road Hazard Protection Plans Cover the following:

  • Flat Tire Repair
    If your tire is damaged due to road hazard damage and can be safely repaired, the repair will be covered up to $30.00 per tire, per occurrence.
  • Tire Replacement Coverage
    If a tire is not repairable due to a puncture, bruise, impact break or other road hazard damage, you are covered up to $350, plus applicable taxes.
  • Mounting, Balancing and Other Fees
    Mounting, balancing, valve stem and disposal fees will be covered up to the limits listed above under M,B, VS & D.
  • Wheel Replacement and Repair
    If your wheel is damaged by a road hazard and cannot maintain an airtight seal with the tire or cannot be balanced, your wheel will be repaired for replaced with coverage up to $700, plus applicable taxes.
  • Roadside Assistance
    The Tire & Wheel SHIELDTM programs cover up to $60 of roadside assistance anywhere in the United States with the installation of your spare tire or towing your vehicle when your tire and/or wheel is damaged due to a covered road hazard.
  • Coverage is Based on Time
    Even if tires are replaced due to normal wear and tear, your replacement tires are covered for the term of the program you choose.
  • Other Important Program Services
    If you have a tire or wheel that is damaged, call the toll-free program number for assistance, where you will be directed to a qualified member of our nationwide network of more than 30,211 participation service centers for assistance.
