CITY SAFETY
| 75 percent of all reported collisions occur at speeds of up to 18 mph and half of these occur in city traffic. To help reduce the consequences of a low speed collision in urban traffic and slow-moving traffic queues, Volvo is launching the foreseeing City Safety a standard feature in the Volvo XC60. Due to the infrared laser sensor, the City Safety Technology can determine whether you are approaching a vehicle from behind too fast. If the driver fails to react in due time, the City Safety will automatically apply the brakes in order to slow down the car either to avoid the collision, which is possible if the speed difference between the two vehicles is below 9 mph or reduce the impact if the speed difference is between 9 and 18 mph. At the same time, the interior restraint systems are pre-prepared for activation. City Safety operates at speeds of up to 18 mph and is programmed to respond if the vehicle in front is either at a stand still or is moving slower in the same direction as your own car in order to help reduce the risk of injury to yourself and your passengers as well as reducing the risk of whiplash injury to the occupants in the vehicle ahead. |

ROLLOVER STABILITY CONTROL (RSC)
| In the event of an emergency manoeuvre, Volvo's Roll Stability Control (RSC) can step in to help prevent the vehicle from rolling over. It features a gyroscopic sensor that registers the vehicle’s lean angle and rollover risk. If required, RSC will cut engine power or brake one or more of the wheels just enough to reduce the centrifugal force and help regain balance. |

PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM with DYNAUDIO
| This Volvo Premium Sound system is a landmark in automotive audio, specially designed for the acoustics in your Volvo. It's the result of an intimate and lasting collaboration between Volvo's diligent audiophiles and those of the Danish loudspeaker specialist Dynaudio, and Dolby Laboratories. The D-class digital amplifier generates 650 watts of music in total. The Dolby® Surround Pro Logic® II surround sound, with its center loudspeaker and sound processor, recreates music that's equally authentic wherever you're seated. There are 12 Dynaudio loudspeakers each with its own filter to coordinate with the others – a technology that is relatively new in car audio. There are three separate speakers – woofer, tweeter and mid-range – in each front door, and in the rear doors a similar set-up with tweeter and woofer/mid-range. The center speaker in the dash is the central nerve of the surround system, conducting the surround sound experience. In the front center armrest, there's a USB port and an auxiliary input you can use to connect your MP3 player or USB device to the audio system. POWER PANORAMA ROOF
| This exclusive power panorama roof will further enhance the experience of air and light for everyone inside the Volvo XC60. The front section can be opened at the push of a button, either by sliding it over the rear part, or by tilting it in the rear end. To help maintain climate comfort on sunny days, there's a power operated roller curtain. Dark tinted laminated glass increases comfort and security. It also helps protect from UV radiation. For safety reasons, the design of the panoramic roof is optimized and the two-piece glass is laminated. Power Panorama Roof is optional. |
